I went there Saturday and traded my 46 gallon setup. I never expected such an amazing trade! Sal was extremely courteous, professional and was able to provide me with the best service anyone can dream. The store looks great, livestock is beautiful and healthy, corals look amazing and the prices are unreal. I picked up a few corals and fish and will post some pictures later.

Big cheers to Sal and staff.

Haha the drive does matter when I am home for a day at the most and will proabably have to drive an hour and 15 minutes back to Athens the opposite direction! lol that would be 2 1/2 hours of driving......Ill make it out there soon though.

It's actually not, I dont think. I bought a frag of that before haninja bought the colony. It is a very whitish color, with a yellowish-green tinted base and kinda reddish-maroon tips. Very neat looking.

I have no idea what it is other then acro but it actually has bluish tinted tips... I guess it depends on what lights you are running. I wish I had a better camera or knew how to take better pictures...

You're right, mine too. When I picked up, there was a hint of red in the tips. Looking today, I dont see any red, but instead a violet-blue tint.

If he doesn't put 'em out of business, he's certainly raised the bar!

And Dawgdude, if you haven't already made the trip, you need to - it's totally worth a day off to go. There's a reason so many people say Sal's a b*stard (aside from the fact that it's true - ;) ) - prices, service, selection...can't be beat. I do recommend bringing your own gas mask though as the rumors are true - air pumped into the building is laced with a mind numbing agent that makes you forget all your other bills and spend your last dime in his store. The store hours are merely a point of reference as Sal will stay put as long as you continue to buy, buy, buy. The building looks innocent enough when you walk in, but as you step through the door, you walk through a time warp...time just S-T-O-P-S. For some reason, I keep getting there about lunchtime and can't help but to hit rush hour traffic on my way home. (It didn't FEEL like we stayed that long...but my wallet sure is lighter! :confused2: )

All jokes aside, anyone debating the drive to get to SWC:

1) it's worth whatever distance you have to drive
2) after your first visit, you will wonder why you waited so long to go

and 3) yes, Sal is a b*stard :jk:
