Yes, I am a rebel since all you hear on this site is T5 and HQI. 4 x 130 Watt PC for a total of 520 watts = almost 9.5 watts per gallon For the Sump I use the Rapids Pro PS4 w/ Auto Fill system. I also have 9 watts UV. Thats it. JAustin 03-15-2008, 5:32 PM I like the lighting, how are your sps's growing? What kind of power heads are those? jcusmarine 03-15-2008, 7:58 PM Thanks. The SPS are growing and coloring nicely - however the growth is slower than Halide/HQI of course - I prefer that though. The power heads are MJ's with ECO mod. JAustin 03-16-2008, 12:35 AM is that a favia coral in the middle? It looks like its tenticals are out...are they? I just bought one of these corals a week ago and it's tenticals haven't come out yet, i even checked at night. jcusmarine 03-16-2008, 10:28 AM Lots of tiny tenticles come out on it, however it is some sort of brain coral, not a favia. I have a two head frag of blastomusa that is looking good (top right) of the pic with the brain. I think that is going to look great when it colonizes....I would like to geta favia on my next coral purchase. KRB 03-16-2008, 11:26 AM tank is looking great jcusmarine 03-16-2008, 11:30 AM thanks man! jcusmarine 07-20-2008, 6:56 PM Update - I am going to do some maintenance next month and clean things up a little. This is a few months since the last pics. I am planning on adding a Magnificent Fox face and a supplementing my cleaner crew within the next week or so also....my fav addition to the tank has been a juvenile six line wrasse who is fun to watch weaving around the Tonga, scavenging the rocks.... Thought this would be a good time to add that I originally joined ARC because of the discount. I now have to say I have met some cool people and find the club a great resource. I rarely make the meetings as I can't seem to make the time. This club has really impressed me and there are some great members and sponsers that are very helpful. It is no Tank of the Month candidate, but I think its looks even better in person - I almost decided to get out the hobby but I could'nt - I hope to continue to improve my 55 gallon, but here it is for now.... http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg263/jcusmarine/JULYTANK11009.jpg |
