First of all, Chris is a really nice guy and a superb host! :) Nice store, not too big yet but with lots of goodies! The Elos (www.elosusa.com) tanks are beautiful and truly a work of art. No wonder they're from Italy. Super quiet as well.

Awesome Aussie corals. You will not find cheaper duncans anywhere locally or even online, as far as I know! Really cheap inverts as well. Colorful rocks with a good price (you have to see the colors on the rocks!).

Overall, a mix of high quality, super colorful, rare livestock, and great deals on more common things like peppermint shrimp and snails/crabs (and fish). The whole line of Reef Nutrition (www.reefnutrition.com) foods, which is quality stuff! Definitely worth the drive even if you're going just to check out Elos tanks for the first time. :) Only shop in Atlanta that I've seen carry the line (including other Elos products).

Chris, big thumbs up!

Tee, when did you go? Today? How far is it from here (Woodstock area)? I'd love to go, but can't decide if I want to go on a weekend and do that long drive, or wait until a weekday when I'm already in Buckhead.

its pretty far from woodstock, its the chamblee tucker exit off 285 is where they are located

We went yesterday. We were there until 30 minutes past closing. :D

It's basically right where 285 and 85 meet. I don't think it's far (only 30 miles away) but waiting until you're in Buckhead would make it even easier.

So, let's say you drive an average car, which gets 30 miles to the gallon. 1 gallon each way. Big deal! :D

I have to agree here. I was in his store yesterday - while it is small, has a lot going for it. Chris knows a lot about what he is selling, unlike those that will put stuff on their shelfs to sell and don't know a thing about it. A larger tank will be set up soon and Chris is going to be expand soon now that the two smaller offices next door are now vacant.

Lots of different corals and while not that many fish (maybe about 20) being on-site, they are more on the rare side where they aren't that common. Saw a beautiful golden coral beauty in one tank.

Very friendly and willing to give advice on all things salty.

Yeah, I wish. I got the ole "grocery getter" Chevy Astro van; 16 MPG! Ugh!

And my Allardi Clowns seem to be exploring the tank a little more, rather than the first few inches of it. Thiago and I will definitely be back sometime soon. Just have to figure out when and how to avoid all the traffic.

And how to avoid the tornado on the way back. ;)

It sucked, it really did. Not fun riding home with a tornado warning all over Atlanta and with 200 dollars of livestock in the backseat, but everything made it on both of our ends so it's all great.

I am too scare to go there. He is only 9 min from me so that really scare me.

The closer they are to me the more I am afraid for them.

Put the amount of money you want to spend in your pocket and leave your wallet at home. Might work. ;)

the problem is that he so close to home. Once I saw something I like I will get it since it so close. Not like a 30 mintue ride. then I can get lazy after I get home.

Oh, Wolfie.....Chris is so nice that he wouldn't scare a fly.....he's just trying to sell you some wonderful fish and coral - some of which you won't find elsewhere. Shoot, he'll even throw in a styrafoam box for FREE if you buy enough to make it easy to carry out.

Now on the other hand...do as Thiago and Victor says, only take amount of money you want to spend and leave rest at home. Don't bring your credit cards. I went in for Tigger Pods and came out with a tang, pods, and phyto.

Hahaha.. .ya'll are hilarious, and yes, much like you Thiago and Steve, while ya'll were avoiding the tornado on the way home, we were trying to get a massive ELOS into the store as the sky fell out! That and I basically slept in the store to make sure that I didn't have to turn the generator on...

It was a pleasure meeting everyone, and we look forward to meeting all those we haven't!

Hope everyone enjoys this wonderful Sunday weather!

I swung by there today. It's a great looking store. Clean tanks and healthy stock. It also has nothing to do with the tanks MRC built for them... :)

Chris is about as nice of a guy as they come. He's knowledgable and excited to help. If you haven't been by there, you need the check them out.
