I have an Xbox360, it's in new condition, just got it two days ago from someone who wanted my tool box, he never played it much and he's only had it for a couple of months. I'm really not an Xbox fan eaither, just wanted the box gone.

I would really consider you think about keeping the 360 over the PS3. More games, better online capabilities. The only real advantage I see to PS3 at this point is the blu ray player. I was a PS2 person for the longest time until i adjusted to the xbox 360. Just my opinion

PS3 just doesnt have that live component that Xbox has. Yes the games are coming along for the PS3 but not at the rate that Xbox games are coming and improving. On a hardware standpoint yes the PS3 probably is better. I will probably get a PS3 eventually though.

Ok well I have both so I will actually speak from my experience with having played both back to back :) The graphics on PS3 are far superior and Stroid you keep saying that the games are not coming along as fast as 360 but when I went to best buy I wanted a few different types of games and had a hard time deciding between them! So I have to say I completely disagree with you. Just because 360 has twice as many games does not make it better. I have played COD4 on both systems and now refuse to play it on 360. The graphics are so much cleaner on ps3 and the online play IS FREE. No you dont have all the xbox live crap but quite frankly I never used it anyway.

There are two things I do not like about PS3.

1. Inorder to change the type of cord you are using (HDMI, component etc) you have to go into the options and change it with the current cable you have set up and then switch to the screen with the cable you are selecting. In other words you have to think ahead if you are taking it somewhere that does not have HDMI if it is set up for HDMI because you wont be able to change it. So when I am taking it to a friends house I set it up for composite so I can then set it up on their TV no matter what connections it has.

2. The batteries seem to die faster in the PS3 controllers because they do not turn off after a period of inactivity and I always leave them on.

I am happy with my PS3 and get VERY VERY sick of the same people bashing it! I have both. I play both. The xBox has way more games, but the PS3 has some really sharp graphics and if you have a 1080P set the Blueray player is outstanding. I don't like the fact that you can't change the batteries in the PS3 remotes, but I do like the fact that they are Blue-tooth. Some of the new physics engines that are being created to run on the PS3's processors are out of this world. The problem is the PS3 platform way more advanced than the games avalable... The games are just now starting to catch up, but you have to look for PS3 only titles.

Like what was mentioned before, one of the greatest things about XBox is XBox Live. You always have someone to play with.

Don't mind the info, but to be honest, I am not much of a gammer, I hadn't played my PS2 in 3 months before Mon, and if I do play it, it is for an hour or two then that's it.

The reason I want a PS3 is because me and my two older brothers will only play one game and that is Tekken, it the only game we play and as for me by myself, the only other game I play is TombRaider, and this isn't out on XBOX, I've been playing this since I was in high school.

While I have the unit, I started playing HALO3 which is nice, but as good as it is, I've only played it about 5hrs in Total, I used to play TombRaider for 18hrs straight, sometimes all through the night, I don't think I have the juice for that anymore, that was 9yrs back, I'm not much of a gamer, I'd much rather be turning wrenches or watching Law & Order........

Oh, I wouldn't even know how to go on XBOX Live, and after I lost $400-$500 worth of fish, I'm going to be spending some time researching and reading so that I don't make that mistake again.

Oh, one last thing, I saw the preview for Heavenly Sword, I want to play that game and I think it is Playstation3 only, something about Female Action figures get's me..............

But your assuming that's super important to everyone. To me I rarely play online because I don't play the COD, Halo's etc very often. Those are just as cool not online anyway. So while if that's important to you it's an advantage to a lot of us it's not.

It's hard to argue the value of a PS3 with a Blu-Ray now. Just not much disadvantage for the nice advantages and the games while smaller in number are at least as good and there is plenty out there now.

One thing you can do on a PS3 is graduate from Halo 3 to the big boys club for FPS and play UT3. On a keyboard and mouse, no less.

I have a guy who offered $400 for it, and if the first deal falls through, he'll come to pick up mine on Sat.

But if you want the game, I would consider trading it to someone who needs corals and is willing to buy the game, that way I can go buy a PS3, at the moment I have no tank set up except for a 20 Gal, I am still trying to get rid of the Mamoth 220Gal sitting in my brothers garage.

This particular debate has been done and done to death. i own both consoles. they both have their ups and downs. considering how the motion picture society decided to use the blueray format, HD DVDs are now the new betamax and 360 will have to change.

it's going to be tough to find a trade considering the MSRP of both consoles.

I still think your missing the point dude I am just sharing my personal experience...I even said I will probably get one eventually. As well I didnt put the PS3 down I just gave some pros about the xbox. If someone creates a thread on this board or any board for that matter and I have a either a different opinion or simply a different suggestion I am going to put it out there. I said my opinion is crap apparently because I felt like I was being attacked for making a comment. Clearly PS3 is a great system and clearly the xbox is also. Your right the original poster didnt speciffically say I want opinions but he didnt say I want to sell this and nobody give any comments unless they want to buy this item.

Best example is this situation, you could simply have asked me why I wanted a PS3 over an XBOX and I would have told you, I don't play games and there is only ONE game me and my brothers play when we are all at my folks house, they are in their 30's so that's why I wanted it, and this would have ended the whole debate. I have read and know about games, I have seen more PS3 on sale over XBOX 's, and when I get my PS3, it's probably going to end up like my PS2, covered in dust and used once every 3 to 5 months..............

And there is a lounge where we can passionately argue our point of views, like the way I was arguing with George and Humptrax about the ZO6 vs F430 etc...........

I have a PS3 that is for sell and it has a 60 gig hard drive. I have never played it I bought it to sell it. I have 3 of the 360's not because one is beter than the other but because we in my house don't shear very well. Since I cant aford 3 of these I will have to wait. If you would like it just let me know.

There is nothing wrong trying to advise a fellow reefer, they might not know what they are doing, just saying that instead of getting into a back and forth post match and consequently ending up hijacking the thread wether done politely, it's still not the most polite thing to do. Just ask why someone decided to make the choice they did, if they aren't informed, then some info will help, if they know exactly what they want, this would have ended by two posts.

Heavenly Sword is kinda like God Of War on Cocaine....Except waaay to short..MGS4, Im telling you is going to be great...

Tekken is by far the best fighting game..Hell I would take Primal Rage over Tekken, Mortal Kombat 1 is the best fighter ever..

you have to buy the cooling kit or mod the 360 to have a ton of fans.

they only go bad if you play them like crazy and just rely on their crap fans.

The fan thing is not the reason for the RRD...I had fans on 2 that crapped out..
Its the parts the are compiled of. The 360 has a 18% fail rate, the PS3 has a 3%.. Microslut is trying to fix the problem, it escapes me right now what it was, the somewhat fixed it with the Halo edition though.

The soder that holds the processor on is getting too hot and the plate seperates.
