It's that time of year when the temps get back to "good sleepin' weather". I know some of us unplug their heaters in the summer. Make sure yours is working, my tank dipped to 74 the other night. Needless to say, my heaters are online now!

Aquatic Ecosystems sells titanium heaters that are just the element with a plug. The built-in controller is usually what causes problems over time, not the heating element (although I've seen glass ones go bad). If you have a controller already, I'd recommend these - 300 to 1000w and ~$25.
