View Full Version : BMW 325i...anyone here own one? kevinwholder 10-10-2006, 8:51 PM In the final decision phase of buying my next car and about settled on an 06 325i fully loaded. Any advise from you beemer owners? Zanski 10-10-2006, 8:58 PM Keven my best good bud owns one.... I can help you buy it if you want, I'm a Auto Broker in my spare time... Sold cars for 6 years. Just got out of it in June. Let me know what questions you have. I charge 300 to find the car and nego. the whole deal. but ill answer your ?'s for free... kevinwholder 10-10-2006, 9:07 PM already got a deal working unfortunately.. PRETTY SWEET DEAL if I say so myself.. Plus, preapproved financing requires I go through an authorized dealer.. Zanski 10-10-2006, 9:11 PM Let me know what it is before you pull trigger. Also i need msrp of car so i can match perfect. new or pre-owned? Dealer? I know how some guys are about asking for help, but with a phone call i can help you save 1,000's just let me know. Yeah, i actually call the dealer and work them a little. so you would still buy from a bmw dealer. Market on bmw is strong so i can def. help.;) George 10-11-2006, 10:18 AM I have an '03 M3 (not exactly the same), but I have driven an E46 325 and 330. They're the best handling, most nimble cars you'll find for the money. The M3 is just all of that x100 with an 8K redline. As for resources, try looking through these news groups. They've been invaluable to me for information on my car. In your case, if you buy from a dealer, you'll have that as a resource, but mine came off warranty 2K after I got it: www.E90Fanatics.com www.e46fanatics.com http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/index.php gwen_o_lyn 10-11-2006, 11:50 AM sorry to mention this Kevin, but this is what I think of when people mention the 3 series beemers..... so I was listening to morning radio, and they listed the top ten gay cars.... well just check out the link: http://www.gay.com/style/auto/package.html?sernum=501 But for another spin.. about.com doesn't have the 3 series listed- now it's the 5 series for the year 2006 http://gaylife.about.com/od/gayproductreviews/tp/gaycars.htm Fun stuff :D Atlanta Aquarium 10-11-2006, 11:58 AM I have a 530i and a Z4. Have nothing bad thing to say. It's a great and fun car to drive. I prefer the 5 over the z because it ride better. kappaknight 10-11-2006, 12:14 PM The gay list is lame... I would have to say most people that own a jeep aren't gay, even if gay people do own jeeps. Atlanta Aquarium 10-11-2006, 12:53 PM There is a BMW track at Greenville, SC that you can take a spin on. I never been on the track but a customer of mine told me about it. I didn't realize this until I bought the two cars that some of these people are fanatic about the BMWs. Like this customer of mine, they own a 7 serie and also an 8 serie as well. They had it brought over from Europe on the 8 serie. I didn't know they made 8 series lol. There is club that you can join and meet. It's too much for me. George 10-11-2006, 1:55 PM Don't listen to the BMW h8ers, Kevin. Simon.Kruger 10-11-2006, 2:15 PM Hey Kevin, even i'm looking for a M3 Cab. I know cars and Beemer's are great. Have a look at the new 335i Coupe, thats an absolutely awesome car. tsciarini 10-11-2006, 2:46 PM Simon... you need to talk to Tom about the M tdwyatt 10-11-2006, 4:13 PM :D the new 335i can be optioned with a twin turbo with NO TURBO LAG!!! The M series of the cars are turly some of the best handling most awesome street cars on the road (and not too shabby on the track, either!) Zanski 10-11-2006, 7:47 PM man no car has anything on the new Lexus LS... any car that can parrallel park itself is the ****!!! is_that_a_fish 10-11-2006, 8:00 PM we were looking at the bmw 3 series, but ended up getting a 07 jaguar x type 3.0, it comes with AWD standard, but it was a bit pricey at 45,000, but i have no complaints....:) gwen_o_lyn 10-13-2006, 11:08 AM we were looking at the bmw 3 series, but ended up getting a 07 jaguar x type 3.0, it comes with AWD standard, but it was a bit pricey at 45,000, but i have no complaints....:) A $45,000 FORD??? :o Zanski 10-13-2006, 11:11 AM Can you say negative equity  kevinwholder 10-13-2006, 11:59 AM well I did it!! got my new 325i.. I will take some pics and post them later today.. :-) kevinwholder 10-13-2006, 12:05 PM Hey Kevin, even i'm looking for a M3 Cab. I know cars and Beemer's are great. Have a look at the new 335i Coupe, thats an absolutely awesome car. Simon, now it is your turn.. I saw a few M3's and one M5. Those cars are WAY outta my price range right now but are SOO FREAKIN' NICE.. So, when you gonna get it?? George 10-13-2006, 1:14 PM That's an excellent deal, Kevin. Especially in this town and with BMW dealers not having factory holdback. Priced with those options, it's in the upper 30's for that car new and 12K miles is on the low end (though typical for the insanely low mileage leases BMW does). Enjoy the ride. When Simon gets his M, we'll have to go for a ride in the hills. tsciarini 10-13-2006, 1:36 PM Enjoy the ride. When Simon gets his M, we'll have to go for a ride in the hills. A ride? I want to drive it!!! gwen_o_lyn 10-13-2006, 2:59 PM well I did it!! got my new 325i.. She is purty!!! woo hooo Congrats!!! You can deliver critters in style. As long as those hermits don't expect me to own a beemer.... don't spoil 'em, k?? is_that_a_fish 10-13-2006, 9:16 PM gwen please do some more research before you downgrade anyones car. As we "car people" all know that ford taking over Jaguar wasnt exactly bad. All they did was improve them, not downgrade them, if anything jaguar benfited from ford taking them over, and that doesnt mean that the engine in my jag is a ford motor, the only thing ford did was improve their electronics. the only car companys ford really has a say in is Mercury and lincoln. Oh and kevin congrats on your buy, beemers are top notch, just stating my opinion. gwen_o_lyn 10-13-2006, 9:39 PM I'm just messin with ya for the most part.. :) I've drove the majority of cars on the road and have plenty of experience when it comes to which cars can take a beating and which can't. The more bells and whistles, the more problems in many cases. But I'm clueless when it comes to motors and such. I actually used to rent cars over at the Jag dealership in Roswell.... so when we showed up with a non-jag rental, many times the customer would say, "oh I thought I'd get a jag" (the dealership has a loaner program and would sometimes run out and that's where we came in) and then we'd always joke, "all our jags are in the shop like yours" ...... we never said it to the customer.... good times, good times... no offense to your car... you can say all u want about my car... it gets me from A to B and that's it.. cars are a waste of money for the most part. but hey, I'm just jealous cos I can't afford the car I really want!!! :D ok another car story.... I used to always tell Matt his car was a piece of crap (not mentioning what kind, but its american) and he would get so mad. Then when his transmission went out at 62K miles, he started agreeing with me.. ha! tsciarini 10-13-2006, 11:12 PM that doesnt mean that the engine in my jag is a ford motor, actually it is the same motor... but I dont want to be near any of this debate either *slowly steps backwards* Zanski 10-13-2006, 11:56 PM actually it is the same motor... but I dont want to be near any of this debate either *slowly steps backwards* shhhhhh!!! dont let the secret out.... kevinwholder 11-02-2006, 9:16 PM I have some pics but cannot get this drag and drop thing to work.. can anyone advise if there is a problem with it? gwen_o_lyn 11-02-2006, 9:18 PM Do you know how to disable drag and drop and attach pics the old fashion way? Your car is very nice btw!!!! tsciarini 11-02-2006, 9:19 PM test tsciarini 11-02-2006, 9:20 PM works fine for me... JustOneMoreTank 11-10-2006, 5:45 PM Tell me more about this Tail of the Dragon. Is this a specific section of "The Loop" that is so popular with the motorcycle guys in North Ga mtns?
