Hot? hell yes!

The extra heat can cause some extra calcification around the impeller, too, so you also need to check and clean it more often than a cooler running pump. But they really are dead silent.

that was my main concern, heat. im going to run halides and want the tank to run as cool as possible. prob running a mag pump 18 for skimmer so i imagine ill get a good bit of heat out of that thing.
