How large is the "Large" Magnificent Foxface? 3-4in., 4-6in.? I need something to take care of some red marco algae and was considering one of these. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Bill

I will be more than glad to. :)
You want a pistol to go with him? I got a large Atlantic pistol that will be the right size for this fish.
Thanks,
Tim
SShindell 02-06-2008, 4:44 PM I think I will pass. I will pick up a red lip blenny and another cleaner shrimp if you have them.

I do have both. So just to recap;
1 Blue Dot XL
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 Red Lip Blenny
Thanks,
Tim
How do you think the large watchman and pistol would do in coarse sand? I'm using crushed coral (2-4mm size)...

A lot of the gobies are recommended a mixed bed of sand and crushed coral. I would think they would do fine with crushed coral. Which watchman are you thinking about?
The Blue Dot XL and and the Atlantic pistol that Steve considered. If possible, could you hold through this weekend? I'll be over that way on Sunday - I can stop by then. I should also have my QT ready to go....
SShindell 02-06-2008, 5:33 PM Let go of my blue dot!

You two, play nice now. :D
I added another Blue Dot to my order. There should be 2 here on Friday. I will hold yours till Sunday Chris and I will bring yours to the meeting Sunday Steve.
SShindell 02-06-2008, 6:00 PM I meant the Tue meeting - it is going in the office tank. Thanks!

Sorry- I misunderstood the "I think I will pass" in that you were passing on the blue dot and getting the red lip blenny instead...
Nevermind, Tim - sorry for the confusion.
[Edit - Ooops- I just saw Tim's message now. That's cool- I'll see you Sunday.]

Victor626nj 02-06-2008, 7:45 PM yeah i just did the numbers its gonna be 12 feet by 12 feet by 3 ....but maybe 5-6 years down the lline for now ill just do the 90 and if i get an itch ill do another reef in the living room about the same size
Cameron 02-06-2008, 7:49 PM I thought we were going to have to stun you Vic to keep you from buying one of these fish.
ericmcj31 02-06-2008, 7:51 PM nice--I saw one in a LFS in canton last weekend--it was kinda old, but still nice--I think it would be WAY out of question (but really nice) to do a reef tank out of something that size--
ericmcj31 02-06-2008, 7:52 PM (It was 1000 gallons)
tim8111 02-06-2008, 7:56 PM Hey Tim-could you post some pics. when you get them?
Yea sure, 1 is already claimed so I have 2 of the foxfaces left.
ericmcj31 02-06-2008, 8:00 PM I'd love a foxface-but I don't have room, either-got one in each tank--I, too am planning on a (to me) HUGE tank-but like Vic. that's a few (if not several) years off, and next house too-I'd love a 1000 or 1500 gallon tank with a huge *** sump-CL, skimmer 6'tall, etc........oh well-
