Pros:
Great Information on water quality, acclimating, feeding, and diseases. Full of great pictures. Plus there is an aquarium weights and measures chart.

Cons:
Nothing really new for the advanced salt water person. $40 price tag.

In Depth:
The book is broken down into three parts. The first part deals w/how to keep a healthy marine aquarium. It goes into details about water quality, how to pick out healthy fish, and acclimating your new fish for best resolts. The second part is on feeding and breaks down the basic nutritional needs for fish and gives you suggestions on how to make your own food prep. The third part is on diseases. This part breaks down the difference between parasitic infestations, bacteria, fungal diseases, viruses, and non-pathogenic diseases and gives you the symptoms and treatments for each.

I picked up this book this weekend to give me something new to read. It is much like all the other saltwater aquarium books out there already, but for someone new to our world it would be a great addition to their library. It does carry an almost $40 price tag, but if you save one fish it pays for itself.
