Just thought I would finally add my 160 Cube to the gallery. This tank has been a labor of love and sometime hate but it's finally getting to the point at which I can say it almost complete. Here is a quick description of the tank, equipment, inhabitants and parameters:

-160 GAL 36"X36"X30" Oceanic Custom Cube: 1/2" glass, 12"X6.5"X29"
Center Overflow with Custom 1/8" Black Acrylic cover. The Tank is euro-braced at the top and bottom.

-Stand: made of true 2X4s and is 38" high. It is currently unfinished since its sitting in my fishroom in the basement. Once I more to my retirement home I will finish it to match the canopy.

-Canopy: Custom made, open back with slide open front panel.

-Lighting: 400W MH (No Name Ballast,10K Ushio), PFO Reflector, 2X75W VHO (Icecap430, 6K Daylight/460nm Actinic), 2X96W PC (420nm) and 2X2W LED Blue Moon Light Strips.

-Filtration/Equipment: 240lbs LR, 3.5" Sandbed, 40GAL Custom Sump, Little Giant 3-MDQSC (700GPH) return with 3/4"Eductors, 2X1200 Maxi-Jet ECO Mod'd w/ ECO mounts, 30GAL Refug, Fluidized Bed Filter, 40GAL Frag (MAG 12 for return to fuge and frag), Carbon/Phosban Media Reactor, Beckett Skimmer PCX-30 Feed Pump, 1/10HP Chiller, MRC-1 Calcium Reactor w/Mil PH Controller, ATO System w/Kalk Chamber, Octopus 300 Controller, 500W Titanium Heater controlled by Chiller, Backup 300W Titanium Heater in fuge set 2 degrees lower than main heater and Fluval Canister Filter (Carbon & Course Media).

-Water Parameters: I only test for the following...and not often!

I totally agree...marks tank is amazing.!!!!! Aside from the obvious, It seems to bend the rules as to what you can keep in the same tank with what.

Folks - Mark's tank is really awesome. I've already determined that when I go with a bigger tank, I'm going to immulate Mark's, for it is truly superb.

The tank looks great Mark. Actually the whole setup is nice. The palys and zoas I got from you added a ton of color to my tank. Next time you are in the mood to chop some more corals up let me know because I would love to add some more and see the setup. Thanks again.

Looks great Mark! I think we should drill your your rock and make a pillar in the middle though. Check out this guys rock scape. The fourth picture down really shows it off.

Update:

Re-worked the lights. Currently using a PFO reflector, 2X400W MH (10K & 14k) and 2X75W VHO (Actinic & White). I was originally going to use 2 of the 14K but one of the bulbs that I ordered doesn't work. SO it's a 10K for instead for the moment. I am also adding another 2X75W VHO (actinic & white) once I pick up a nother ballast. I added some colonies that have been in my frag tank and rearranged some corals. Here are a few current pictures.

Thanks for the frags Mark. Real generous of you. I particularly like those huge paly's and the creamsicle motipora. Wish I could have seen your tank with that second 400w on there. I can tell from the pictures that it's way brighter.

What kind of mushroom is in the second to last pic with the crocea in it? I have a mushroom like that and have been trying to track down an ID.

It's a Elephant Ear Mushroom and some pople call it a hairy mushroom. They are amazing and great to watch at feeding time. They close up to capture food particles and look like a big tomato.
