I have had my tank set up almost a year now  and figured its about time I posted pictures. I am moving back to school tomorrow and taking a new 12g aquapod with me (already cycled). I will also take about half of my corals and get the other half another time. Since the coral will be spread out I thought I'd document how the first tank looks.

I've acquired several new corals over the past month thanks to flyingarmy, wayb, and reeftankjunkie :thanks:

Inhabitants
Inverts:
6 Red leg hermits
7 Blue leg hermits
3 Astaea snails
2 Cerith snails
10 Vibex snails
1 Serpent star
1 Emerald crab

Coral:
Zenia
Kenya tree
Red shrooms
Fox coral
Orange/green brain
Hammer (think there was a frogspawn somewhere in the family tree)
A few different types of zoos
palys
GSP
Ricordia
Blasto merletti
Cabbage leather (in the new tank cause I ran out of room :yay: )

Sorry for the bad quality, my Nikon is getting serviced :boo:

This is the way a college kid does it cheap! (hence the ghetto tank)

It's been a long time since I've added photos of my tank. The aquapod is with me at college and its doing great! the ghetto tank is at home just with some hermits and kenya tree. i've lost a few things on the way but have definitely learned a lot too!

My favorite coral: blastos; and my fastest growing: cabbage leather

ha thanks eric! took me a while to find a place for it all! and i love those green spotted palys you gave me. they are at the bottom in the front.. that's why you can't see them in the photos.

no prob. maybe you can help me out with some SPS some day (when you think it's pretty, of course)

looks good.
and imo 55g is too small too, so make sure when you go bigger, its 3 digits at least. haha

agreed-go at least a 210 or 185! believe me-you can NEVER have a big enough tank! Only the wallet is the limiting factor!

:lol2: sure will! when i get those fancy lights of course. when im old and rich. psh thats not gonna happen. anyways. i think they are pretty.. i just prefer softies. at least for the moment. id love one of those green slimers though. didnt you just get one? i saw barbaras several weeks ago.... it looks gorgeous. but alas i only have pcs. im thinking about asking for another nano tank with a metal halid pendant for my birthday in january.

oh and of course ill be going into the 3 digit gallon tanks when im older. however id like to have lots of tanks instead of one huge one. i really like the idea of species specific tanks. like one with just shrooms and rics. and a cold water tank would be cool (haha pun intended!) with huge starfish, colorful anemones, and an octopus. i could go on and on......

its acrylic. tried it. i've found that a card works the best. like my ARC membership card! it just takes a lot of elbow grease. wanna trade elbow grease for a frag? i got some beer in the fridge too. ha
